Four Seasons Residences May Actually be Built

After seven years of proposed projects, the developer behind the Four Seasons Residences claims that the project will break ground this year. Apparently, the developer is self-financing the $100 million project -- eliminating the pre-sales hurdles which stall many projects before construction.

The project is now a 30-story all-condo project with 1,000SF units starting in the high $400s. The project, which is being designed by the well-known architect Michael Graves, will target the very high-end of the market. In addition to full access to hotel ammenities, the project will feature a sixth floor deck, pool, spa, and fitness center. The project is expected to be completed in 2009.
The Four Seasons Residences, as would be expected by the brand, will target very high end buyers. The market for these units remains unproven. Although the Nokonah succeeded as a luxury development a few years ago, the per-square-foot prices were about half that of the units in the Four Seasons project. Given the brand and amenities, it is likely that some units will sell as weekend pads for affluent buyers from Dallas and Houston. Read the full updated profile here.
