I've been closely following Austin downtown residential development for the last couple off years. It's been amazing. Developers are currently investing more than a billion dollars to build dozens of downtown residential projects. This will bring new life to downtown and the city, new tax revenues, while reducing growth in traffic and sprawl.

While Austin is being transformed before our eyes, I've been amazed that no single resource exists to track these changes. No one has created a single site that documents all the projects, that clearly presents the options available to buyers, and that analyzes the real impact. Is there enough demand? What are the economics of the projects? What does a 3 bedroom condo cost in different projects? What schools do different residences feed into? Which projects have units designed for accessibility? Which ones may never be built?

I'm looking forward to bringing these resources together and trying to answer the may questions that are out there on our changing city!
